Auctions numbers fall in Brisbane

Last week

Last week, 896 auctions were held across the combined capital cities returning a final auction clearance rate of 65.4 per cent, unchanged from the week prior when a slightly lower 847 capital city homes went to auction.  One year ago, a higher 1,257 auctions took place returning a lower 57 per cent success rate.

This week and weekend

This week 1,012 capital city auctions are currently being tracked by CoreLogic, up from the 896 auctions held last week.

Melbourne is expected to see a rise in activity this week, with 480 homes scheduled for auction across the city, up from the 410 auctions held last week.

There are 366 Sydney homes scheduled for auction this week, increasing on the 303 auctions held last week.

Across the smaller auction markets, volumes are set to be higher across Adelaide, unchanged in Canberra and lower across Brisbane, Perth and Tasmania over the week.
